Project Managers (New York)
We have immediate opportunities for a New York City-based Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you will be involved in working with world-class corporations (i.e. Fortune 100 and 1000 companies) involved with international trade and supply chain management. Project activities are a balance between business process definition, change management and technical data integration across multiple buyers and global suppliers. You will be expected to concurrently manage multiple projects. Your ability to plan, maintain organization, gain client trust and commitment are key to project success.
The TradeCard Project Manager is responsible for the complete solution definition and launch of all facets of a customer's project. This includes involvement in pre-sales through the full lifecycle of the project. This position leads a team of TradeCard staff to define, prepare and deliver customer services.
Responsibilities:
- Overall design and delivery of the business and technical solution to the project team
- Oversee customer implementation projects from a Operations, Technology, and Vendor Activation perspective
- Facilitate customer Kick Off Session to scope and define the project
- Manage involvement of customer, including across departments and locations as needed
- Develop and maintain project plans
- Track and manage outstanding issues and actions
- Conduct detailed workflow and business reviews, providing consultation for optimization
- Participate in pre-sales activities
- Organize and lead Conference Room Pilots
- Work with internal departments to design and implement customer projects
- Ensure that designed business and technical solution meets client's business requirements
- Collaborate with project team to create an effective and efficient solution, using TradeCard best practices
- Ensure Solution reusability and efficiency
- Communicate status internally, to the project team, and externally with the customer and any other involved parties regularly
- Coordinate projects within TradeCard's regional offices and partners
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience at customer project management in the supply chain or sourcing fields
- Strong knowledge of SaaS technical implementations
- Strong business knowledge (Supply Chain, Apparel/Footwear, industry verticals)
- Banking, international business and international procurement
experience a plus
- Relevant understanding of various ERP systems, transport protocols and interface file formats
- Strong project management knowledge
- Experience in multi-year implementation efforts with structured
project management experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- MS Office and Project fluent
- Travel to international client sites may be required
- Experience with B2B Internet and ASP implementations a plus
