Technical Consultants (Data Integration Architecture - Java) - Sri Lanka

TradeCard Services; is a Joint Venture launched between TradeCard Inc. USA and Sabre Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of MAS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd,. TradeCard, Inc. is the leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions. The TradeCard Platform synchronizes financial transactions with physical events in the global supply chain to help customers automate trade transactions from purchase order to payment and chargeback. TradeCard Services, Sri Lanka is responsible for all activities of TradeCard Inc. USA in this region including sales and marketing. The region the venture manages includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Israel and Turkey.

We are looking for well-rounded technologists with strong communication skills who know how to create robust high-volume production applications. You will be required to write server-side code to extend the data integration architecture for our web-based messaging server.

You will be part of a team responsible for technical design, development and ongoing management of the TradeCard messaging platform. You will interact with our product design and implementation teams to take feature specifications from concept through to technical design and implementation. You will also interact with our quality assurance team to help formulate quality metrics and testing approaches.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a challenging, dynamic environment and collaborate closely with our teams in New York and Colombo.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Specialist knowledge and experience in Java web application development
• Communication protocols and standards (HTTP, FTP, SSH, AS2, EBMS, SOAP)
• Data format standards and design (XML, EDI, CSV, fixed-length)
• XML technologies (XSD, XPATH, XSLT)
• Web interface design and development (HTML, JSP, AJAX)
• J2EE application server experience (JBoss)
• High-volume/high availability architecture
• International trade finance and/or supply chain business domain experience

Qualifications and requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
• You must have 3-5 years of experience developing software in a formal environment
• Object-oriented development experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Desire to work in a challenging environment learning new technology skills
