CETRA AND TRADECARD BEGIN SEMINAR SERIES TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES SAVE TIME AND MONEY IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Trade council, supply chain automation company to provide Financial Supply Chain Management strategies for Taiwan's trading companies

Taipei, September 12, 2001 - TradeCard, Inc., a financial supply chain services provider, today announced the launch of a seminar series for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to be co-sponsored by the Chinese External Trade Development Council, (CETRA). The seminars will teach SMEs how to become more efficient and profitable in their cross-border trade transactions by using proven financial supply chain management tools.

The seminars will be specifically focused on several industry categories, such as footwear, apparel, consumer electronics and toys, all of which will include speakers from leading Taiwan banks that support Internet-delivered pre- and post-export financing to businesses. The first seminar, "New Alternatives for Online Trade and Settlement," will be focused on the footwear industry and will be held on September 18, 2001 at SinoPac Plaza in Taipei. In the seminars, CETRA will discuss how they can help promote Taiwan SMEs expand their business and become more efficient through their many trade resources. TradeCard Asia Pacific Limited (Taiwan branch) will demonstrate how TradeCard's patented suite of products enable buyers and sellers to initiate, conduct and settle trade transactions securely over the Internet, providing members an easy-to-use, lower-cost alternative than most established trade transaction methods, as well as greater control of their working capital. The participating banks will explain how businesses can expedite their export financing applications through the Internet.
