GE COMMERCIAL SERVICES TO OFFER CREDIT PROTECTION SERVICES ON THE TRADECARD PLATFORM
TradeCard members to benefit from credit protection facility for trade transactions

NEW YORK, December 11, 2002. TradeCard Inc., a leading financial supply chain services provider, and GE Commercial Services, a unit of GE Commercial Finance and a well-known player in the factoring industry, announced today that GE Commercial Services will join the TradeCard network of service partners to provide credit protection services to seller members on the TradeCard Platform. The partnership with GE Commercial Services expands TradeCard's reach into countries that in the past were not supported by its offering of paperless payment-assured transactions.

The credit protection services that GE Commercial Services offers are critical to sellers who need to ensure payment in the event of a default caused by their trading partner's financial instability. Credit protection services are also a critical determining factor in securing additional working capital from financial institutions to manage raw materials purchase and other operating needs. In this new arrangement, GE Commercial Services will establish trade credit for buyer members of the TradeCard network. TradeCard will allocate the buyer lines to approved seller members. The process by which vendors sell their receivables to GE Commercial Services will be fully automated and seamlessly integrated into the TradeCard transaction flow. A request and approval for credit protection is completed in seconds on line rather than waiting the usual two to three weeks for a traditional international trade credit lines to be established.

Through the alliance with GE Commercial Services, TradeCard is extending its network of service providers that consists of over 100 logistics companies, 15 global financial institutions, the top three inspection services (Bureau Veritas, Inspectorate and SGS), debt purchase services from an affiliate of the leading provider of export credit insurance (Coface) and the largest broker of cargo insurance (Marsh Ltd.).

Kevin McGarry, President and COO of GE Commercial Services, commented: "TradeCard is unique in that it operates an open transaction platform with 24/7 visibility that facilitates both Letter of Credit-type and open account-type transactions. The services offered by GE Commercial Services on the TradeCard Platform can be made available to vendors in either transaction type." He added: "This partnership will allow us not only to expand our customer base to companies who may not otherwise have purchased credit protection services but also to be an active participant in a project that offers a unique alternative to traditional methods of facilitating international and domestic trade."

"It is important to build relationships with the right companies that give our members the services they need most," said Kurt Cavano, Chairman and CEO, TradeCard Inc. "The addition of GE Commercial Service's credit protection services to the TradeCard network will allow us to service sellers in additional geographies and enable our buyers to move more of their business on to TradeCard. GE is a trusted name globally and exactly the type of service partner we are looking for."

Since launching in April 2000, TradeCard has provided alternatives to traditional paper-based, expensive and labor- intensive trade settlement methods to companies throughout the world. The web-based system enables buyers and sellers to initiate, conduct and settle trade transactions online through TradeCard's secure network. Compared with the traditional way of conducting international trade transactions, the system is unique as it allows the seller to select payment assurance at varying levels, not only for Letter of Credit-type but also for Open Account transactions, completely paperless. Some of the companies benefiting from cost savings and process efficiencies brought to them through the TradeCard service include RadioShack, JC Penney, SK Global, Hi-Tec (footwear), International Playthings (toys) and Wolverine World Wide, the manufacturers of Hush Puppies and other leading shoe brands.
